1. Booking Confirmation and Payment

​

All individual lessons must be paid for no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Lesson packages must be paid for in full before the first lesson takes place.

A booking is confirmed once the agreed arrangements have been accepted. If payment is not received by the required deadline, Learn English with Samantha reserves the right to cancel the booking.

All bookings are subject to this Refund and Cancellation Policy and the customer's applicable statutory consumer rights.

 

2. Rescheduling of Individual Lessons

​

Individual lessons may be rescheduled free of charge, provided at least 24 hours' notice is given before the scheduled start time.

Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice may result in the lesson being charged in full, at the discretion of Learn English with Samantha.

Exceptions may be made in cases of illness, emergencies or other exceptional circumstances, as outlined in Section 3.

This policy does not affect the customer's statutory consumer rights.

3. Illness and Exceptional Circumstances

​

In cases of illness, emergencies or other exceptional circumstances, lessons may be postponed to a mutually agreed date.

Each situation will be considered individually, with fairness and understanding.

Learners are encouraged to inform Learn English with Samantha as soon as possible if they are unable to attend a scheduled lesson.

4. Non-Attendance (No-Show Policy)

​

If a learner fails to attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the lesson will be considered a no-show and may be charged in full.

No-shows are generally not eligible for a refund or free rescheduling.

Exceptional circumstances will be considered individually, at the discretion of Learn English with Samantha.

This policy does not affect the customer's statutory consumer rights.

5. Courses, Packages and Group Sessions

​

Courses, lesson packages, workshops and group sessions must be paid for in full before the programme or service begins, unless otherwise agreed.

Lesson packages must be used within the validity period stated at the time of purchase.

Where a customer has a statutory right of withdrawal, they may exercise that right within 14 days of purchasing the service, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

If the customer expressly requests that lessons begin during the withdrawal period and subsequently withdraws, they may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already provided, in accordance with French consumer law.

Once the statutory withdrawal period has expired, refunds for unused lessons, courses or group sessions are not normally provided, except where required by law or agreed in exceptional circumstances.

Unused lessons remaining after a package's expiry date are generally non-refundable, subject to applicable consumer rights.

 

6. Refund Eligibility

Refund requests will be considered in the following circumstances:

• Duplicate payments or payment errors.

• Technical booking errors.

• Cancellation of a service by Learn English with Samantha when an alternative arrangement cannot be agreed.

• Valid exercise of the customer's statutory right of withdrawal.

• Other circumstances where a refund is required by applicable consumer law.

Requests for refunds should be submitted in writing to englishwithsam128@gmail.com.

Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method wherever possible, within the applicable legal timeframe.

Refund requests relating to exceptional personal circumstances will be considered individually and fairly.

Nothing in this policy limits the customer's statutory consumer rights.

7. Cancellation by Learn English with Samantha

​​

If Learn English with Samantha needs to cancel a scheduled lesson or session due to illness, unforeseen circumstances or other reasons, the learner will be informed as soon as possible.

An alternative date or time will be offered at no additional cost.

If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, the learner will be entitled to a refund for the cancelled lesson or any prepaid services that cannot be provided.

For lesson packages, cancelled sessions may be rescheduled without affecting the package's validity period. Where necessary, the validity period will be extended to accommodate the replacement lesson.

This policy does not affect the customer's statutory consumer rights.

8. Policy Acceptance

​

By booking or purchasing a lesson, course, workshop or lesson package with Learn English with Samantha, customers acknowledge that they have been informed of this Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Customers are asked to read and accept the applicable Terms and Conditions before completing their purchase.

This policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions of Sale and does not affect any statutory rights granted under French or European consumer protection law.
